Norwegian post punk and shoegaze band Mayflower Madame return with In Hindsight, one of the lead tracks from the brand new deluxe edition of their third album, Insight. Introducing atmospheric dreampop and new wave elements into the band’s established sound, the song explores the struggle to move forward while lingering desire continues to pull the past back into view.
Originally released in November 2024, Insight sharpened Mayflower Madame’s fusion of pulsating post punk and immersive shoegaze, with mixing and mastering handled by Italian engineer Maurizio Baggio. Having just been released, the deluxe edition adds five previously unreleased tracks recorded during the original album sessions, ranging from melodic dreampop to haunting darkwave and psychedelia.
