Gothenburg band Wolfschmidt introduce their forthcoming album INSUFFICIENT FAILURE with new single, Svalbard, a track that brings dreamy guitar textures and melodic melancholy into contact with the band's more punk-grounded side, pushing forward the intensity. Its emotive vocals provide a pulse point as the surrounding instrumentation shifts between restraint and mounting pressure.
Written, recorded and produced by the band at their Gothenburg studio, Svalbard explores the dread that accompanies drastic change, even when that change might ultimately be for the better. The song has already been previewed live during Wolfschmidt’s European tour and at New York’s New Colossus Festival.
