Nottingham post rock trio EYRE LLEW have shared Rainbow Bridge, the latest single from their forthcoming album BLOOM, out September 18th, 2026.
Written following the deaths of family dogs, the track takes its name from the familiar idea of a place where animals wait to be reunited with those who loved them. Rather than surrendering entirely to grief, EYRE LLEW turn that loss into something warm and quietly thankful.
“Rather than dwelling in grief, the song sits in gratitude.” the band expands. “It acknowledges loss, but frames it through warmth, memory, and the idea that love doesn’t disappear; it just changes shape. Rainbow Bridge is a soft tribute to the companionship, loyalty, and uncomplicated joy dogs give so freely, and how deeply they become part of our emotional landscape.”
The track begins in near silence, slowly gathering weight before opening into a vast, cinematic climax. Its measured build and subdued melancholy place it somewhere between intimate reflection and expansive post rock, with the band allowing every shift to arrive naturally.
Recorded with engineer Russ Clark during a week at Finkle Barn and mastered at Abbey Road Studios, the upcoming album contains eleven tracks shaped by the years in which EYRE LLEW’s constant touring suddenly came to a halt.
