New York-based solo project Body Stuff has announced its second full length album, Body Stuff 5, arriving on October 16th, 2026. The work of artist Curran Reynolds, Body Stuff blends emotionally charged rock with metallic weight and a hazy, dreamlike atmosphere, moving between vulnerability and triumph without losing the general sense of heaviness that permeates the project's overall sound.
The first taste of the record arrives through Sacrifice, a song Reynolds describes as a meditation on commitment and devotion. "The song 'Sacrifice' is about crossing the line," he says. "The point of no return. The beauty of sacrificing for something you love."
Its accompanying video draws inspiration from the surreal imagery of Jean Cocteau’s Blood of a Poet. "I made the music video one morning after watching Jean Cocteau’s film, Blood of a Poet. I loved the scene in that film where the artist is peeping in keyholes in the hotel and I woke up wanting to replicate that. As fate would have it, my building here in Brooklyn was built in the 1850s and one of the doors in my apartment has the most perfect, iconic keyhole.”
While Body Stuff occupies a world entirely its own, Reynolds remains focused on creating meaningful connections through his art. “My intention is to continue making the most authentic art I can. This is how we make the world a better place.”
