Swedish trio ARMOURS channel the cold pulse of synthpop, post punk and EBM into their debut EP, BODY. Formed in Stockholm in late 2025 by Håkan Ängquist, Thomas Isberg and Bengt Rahm, the project leans heavily on vintage synthesizers, drum machines and samplers, with the material recorded and produced by the band in a Stockholm apartment during the spring of 2026.
The title track opens the EP on an especially poignant note, reflecting on the experience of watching a parent slowly fade away and confronting the inevitable shift between generations. Elsewhere, the EP explores themes of personal change, power structures on both local and global scales, and the desire to briefly disconnect from an increasingly overwhelming world.
A striking emergence from a new act that fuses mechanical rhythms with deeply human concerns, delivered through sharp, confident production and a mood that balances darkness and sentimentality in equal measure.
