Immersion return with Megafauna, the latest preview of their upcoming album What Is Lost Will Return, arriving September 4th, 2026 via swim ~. One of only three instrumentals on the record, the track leans into the project's roots, trading vocals for a dark, dub-driven pulse that balances the album’s more melodic moments.
The album finds Colin Newman and Malka Spigel refining Immersion’s identity even further. Echoes of their past work in Wire and Minimal Compact remain, still the duo continue to shape a distinct sonic world of their own, assisted by contributors including Holy F*ck drummer Matt Schulz and AK/DK’s Ed Chivers.
Speaking about the track, Malka & Colin said: “the title reflects the music - umbering large creatures moving slowly to the beat and are drawn to the sound of a primordial piper”.
