BURIAL PIT: SKIN EATER

Bringing forward their violent sludge from Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, Burial Pit return with Skin Eater, a standalone track that transforms grief, rage, and disbelief into a torrent of crushing riffs, despair, and bone-chilling cacophony.

The band comments on the new track "The song is an indictment on the way in which the devastating Australian bushfire were handled a few years ago. It's a dedication and memorial to the animals and bushland that perished, and the blatant disregard to their welfare that was demonstrated by the powers that be."

The song conjures a visceral, apocalyptic vision of societal collapse and moral decay. Through grotesque imagery, it condemns corrupt leadership and environmental ruin, as well as the gluttony of a decaying system. Musically, it’s steeped in primal grit and oppressive heaviness, making for an unrelenting and deeply affecting experience.
