Portland's up and coming shoegaze group, Kallai, introduces their sophomore release, Palisades, following closely their debut single, Always/Never, which came out in March 2024. Palisades paints a moody, yet, vivid picture, combining a narrative of breaking down barriers and embracing vulnerability after years of solitude and struggle. Infused with introspective lyrics and a propulsive post punk and guitar-oriented, somber alternative rock tone, the track evokes a palpable sense of wistfulness throughout its duration, sending back raw emotion.
