Hubris Cannon, practitioners of hardcore violence from Atlanta, Georgia, release City of Traitors, the opening track from their debut album, Revised. The band creates an exquisite extreme sound which hits hard on several fronts and resonates by fusing grind, hardcore, and post metal sounds.
The new song has an air of existential introspection, and thematically, it appears to be in search of meaning and purpose. It depicts an excursion characterized by the struggle to reconcile the idealized and the harsh realities of life, the quest for something grave and profound, and the justification of compromises.
