Walg, a Dutch Black metal band which was established during the 2021 pandemic, transforms the imposing dark sound of revered acts like Old Man's Child and Dimmu Borgir into something similarly enforcing but with a more underground bent, appropriate for both new audiences and ardent fans of the genre.
Verlies & Verval is a standout track from III, Walg's third full length, and one of the album's strongest highlights. The band's sound and stylistic position are characterized by viciousness, smartness, and flexibility, as Walg created a remarkable album which sounds really well produced and expertly put together on the whole.
