Reign is the second single from an impending EP by Swedish dreampop band CHIVVY who have re-established themselves as a duo after the excellent reception of their recent debut full length. The new song is a crystalline example of the band's ethereal and moody dreampop.
Reign is a song about imagination and reality, about taking full control of one's life or allowing oneself to drop. The music is still as big and lush as it was in the band's previous iteration, and it was recorded with and co-produced by Daniel 'Fagge' Fagerström (Viagra Boys, Jenny Wilson, Nina Kinert, and others).
Reign, centered on melodic instrumentals and artfully articulated vocals, ushers in an exciting new era for the duo, whose trajectory is still on the upswing.
