With Pesak, the second single from their impending album Indistinct Beacon, Dutch band Gavran deliver one more fine representation of their exploration of all kinds of heavy sounds and intense emotions.
Taking the listener through a path of post metal, sludge and doom metal sounds, Gavran frequently reach the bounds of extreme metal density, while at the same time they maintain correct harmony, with their quieter and more fragile moments appearing as enforcing as the louder instances.
Pesak brings Indistinct Beacon to a thrilling and memorable end note, clocking in at just over nine minutes, and the ride is certainly extremely rewarding.
Mixed by Tim de Gieter (Amenra, Doodseskader) and mastered by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Oathbreaker), Indistinct Beacon will be released on dunk!records in December 2022.
