Jonas Colstrup, the renowned Danish composer and musician, will release his upcoming album At The Crest on November 18th, 2022 via Berlin-based 7K! Records. Colstrup is primarily a film composer who has released a number of soundtracks, including two with the late great Jóhann Jóhannsson.
After the glacial Two Suns and the optimistic first single Rain From a Blue Sky, Colstrup unveils the new album's title track, another piece of immersive and fragile balance between modern classical music and captivating ambiance.
Without the constraints of Colstrup's regular scoring duties, At the Crest enabled the musician to be more ambitious and follow the music's natural path, while also discovering an emotional intensity of a larger scope.
The eight-track album was created over a four-year timeframe, in order for the artist to have full artistic freedom and exploration.
