Eclair is the newest single arriving off the upcoming album by Newcastle, Australia-based band, Fungas, this time presenting a more kaleidoscopic heavy psychedelic sound compared to the punk energy of the recent Termination 99.
Fungas bring forth a colorful form of intensity that harkens back to sixties and seventies obscure garage rock, while the execution appears to be immaculate, with a lot of fuzz and intensity, and with a somewhat uncommon instrumental approach that incorporates heavy guitars and mellotron.
Still, Fungas' new work seems to be more post punk-based than the majority of their past material, which seems to match their songwriting approach quite beautifully.
