Fungas, from Newcastle, Australia, present a very unorthodox take on heavy psychedelic noise rock with post punk and stoner rock undertones. Termination 99 is the band's second single off their upcoming concept album, and it's a straight punk rocker with plenty of fuzz and intensity.
Tough to define and place under a single tag, Fungas infuse many components from many different kinds of underground rock music, and process everything with an experimental approach, resulting in sounds which seem both diverse and audacious, and linger with the listener for a long time.
"Ever injected pure energy into your cranium?" Fungas asks. Termination 99 is genuine, intriguing unconventionality.
