New York post punk band Spirits of Leo join the roster of à La Carte Records and return for the first time since the release of their excellent 2018 album, Equinox, with the first single from their forthcoming album, Gossamer Blue, expected to be released in Summer 2022.
Patience is a soft and somber post punk song with shoegaze underpinnings and an overall dreamlike mood, evocative of alternative rock's gloomier direction and sounds from the late eighties and nineties.
Vocalist and guitarist Ryan Santos Phillips describes: "Patience is a song about being driven in spite of exhaustion, doubt, and dismissal. My hope is that it resonates with anyone who has ever felt invisible, inadequate or had their dreams deemed unrealistic."
Spirits of Leo, heavily influenced by post punk's recent rich history, are a significant fresh voice, and their new work is introduced with a superb, poetic cut.
