The enigmatic experimental electronica duo, Laikamori, are working toward the release of their upcoming new album off which comes Amok, a dreamy and overall immersive piece which amalgamates elements from dreampop, ambient and psychedelia, coming with an all-embracing sense of darkness and mystery.
Laikamori have been the supporting act of artists such as Future Islands, CocoRosie, Moderat and Drab Majesty among others, and their tasteful aesthetics which are also curated by themselves, have been an important side of the enchantment they manifest since their formation in 2014.
The band's new songs have the air of something utterly dark and eccentric which in essence apotheosizes experimentation and musical alchemy. Airy and atmospheric, and at the same time substantial, Amok is four minutes of pure overcast thrill.
