Worship: Many Masters

As part of the Adult Swim Singles 2021 series, Californian heavy rockers, Worship, come forth with a standalone single which offers massive, crushing waves of heaviness and a lot of down to earth emotionality. Many Masters finds the band wielding their post metal expertise to the utmost.

Many Masters pay tribute to skateboarder E. Henry Gartland who lost his life to suicide in January 2021. He was part of the Santa Cruz Skateboards team of which the band's own Andrew is the brand manager.

A statement from Worship reads: "Having known Henry since he was 12 years old and working with him through the last handful of years to help build him into a pro skateboarder, this was crushing to say the least. It was a loss for not only his family and friends but for the skateboarding community worldwide. This song captures the feeling of sitting broken hearted and having to call the people that I love and break their hearts as well with the news. At one point I had to write on a piece of paper, 'This is real' because my brain could not come to grips with it. It was hands down the worst day of my life and I would never wish that upon anyone."

Henry’s family has setup the Henry Gartland Foundation, focused on brain health, informing skateboarders on Traumatic Brain Injuries and getting helmets to those who need them.
