Kalamazoo, Michigan-based noise rockers, Bronson Arm, are the latest signing to the roster of the independent label, Off White House Records, helmed by the prolific musician Laura Lee Schultz (Queazy, Skinjobs, Down The Lees and more). The duo composed of Blake Bickel on baritone guitar and vocals, and Garrett Yates on drums, bring their nervy take on post punk to the eclectic imprint which has also just launched its new website.
Conscious Confuser, the newest single by Bronson Arm, sees the band in full on noise punk mode à la Fugazi and early Sonic Youth, with psychedelic, krautrock and sludge dynamics added in a well balanced way for good measure. Essentially it comes off as archetypal noise rock, yet, without perplexing their structures too much, Bronson Arm emerge with an an adaptable, multiform sound which to all appearances has a lot to produce in the near future.
