Dawn to Dawn are composed of musician and photographer, Tess Roby, who as a solo artist is part of the eclectic roster of Italians Do It Better, and Adam Ohr and Patrick Lee of the Montreal electronica act, The Beat Escape. The three of them came together in 2018 and started working on music together after establishing a close friendship.
The band's debut single, Meridian, is an almost hypnotic, very much moody piece of electronic pop which channels the customary airiness of dreampop and the eloquence of new wave and modern synthpop, much like one would expect based on the previous releases in which Dawn to Dawn members have been involved.
A very promising debut, Meridian puts on view a fresh and skilled act which in all likelihood has a lot more to untether.
