Jesse Draxler, Chelsea Wolfe & Ben Chisholm: Valerian

Visual artist, Jesse Draxler, has come up with quite an achievement, assembling an impressive line up of musicians from the dark underground spectrum for his forthcoming curated album, Reigning Cement. Singles featuring Dylan Walker from Full Of Hell and VOWWS have been made available previously, and now a third track and video surface, including Chelsea Wolfe and Ben Chisholm.

Valerian is an ethereal, nocturnal piece and a salute to the herb of which many of us extol the virtues, and which is frequently used for sleep and anxiety disorders.

"When submitting this track, Chelsea briefly mentioned how the lyrics are an ode to her relationship with Valerian root and its effects on sleeping habits and insomnia," says Draxler about the visual. "With the video we wanted to echo this notion to create a morphing and echoing sleep-scape, straddling the line between dream and nightmare. The video was created by myself and Rizz (of the band VOWWS), while the footage of Chelsea was kindly given to us by herself."

Reigning Cement will come paired to a 100-page book of Jesse Draxler’s photography and collage work, and it arrives on September 4th, 200 through Federal Prisoner.
