Round Eye: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

The raw and unapologetic kind of punk that China's Round Eye have to offer also mingles in elements from fifties' soul and free jazz, and comes forth often traditional in nature but all the way cutting edge. The band has previously collaborated with R. Stevie Moore, Greg Ginn (Black Flag), Steve Mackay (Iggy Pop & the Stooges, Violent Femmes), Yang Haisong (P.K. 14), and their preceding album, Monster Vision, was released on Joey Shithead's (DOA) Sudden Death Records.

Culture Shock Treatment is the band's coming record, produced by Mike Watt (Minutemen), mixed by Bill Stevenson (Black Flag, Descendents, ALL) and scheduled to come on July 3rd, 2020 on Vincent Fiorello's (Less Than Jake) Paper and Plastick Records.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? is representative of the group's experimental take on punk, while their expertise in coming up with compelling instrumentals is evident from the song's first moment to its last. Vicious guitars meet with a monster of a sax performance, a combination not so easily found in true to form punk, yet, it's beyond a doubt something that works incredibly well in the case of Round Eye whose unconventionality steals the show.

A fun, cinematic clip with a charming storyline and a dreamlike atmosphere accompanies the new song, culminating in something all around unmissable.
