bdrmm: Shame

Continuing being very consistent with their releases since their progression from a bedroom project to a full on indie rock band, Hull's bdrmm take their talents to the ranks of the acclaimed shoegaze label, Sonic Cathedral, and are about to release a new EP. If Not, When? comes out October 11th, 2019, preceded by fresh cut, Shame.

"Shame is about the heartache of having to tell someone you care about the most that being together can’t work, for whatever reason - having to be the person who takes it upon themselves to do the right thing, even though it feels so wrong," vocalist and main songwriter, Ryan Smith, explains about the song's aim.

Jangly and melodious like the majority of the band's earlier material, Shame is also bordering on post punk and new wave, mainly through the palsying monotony in the vocal delivery, and its transfixing rhythms.
