D//E Premiere: Diary: Uni

More than a year after their fine three song EP, Will-o'-the-wisp, New York's Diary return with the first of a handful of singles they have in their plans to release this summer.

Uni is a shining example of pleasurably fuzzy guitar pop which encapsulates many of the rising band's different but well mingled together aspects, including their knack for amicable shoegaze rock and memorable pop melodies, while those nuanced touches of glam and psychedelic rock come together as perfect finishing touches.

Coming forward solidly structured and with some spare fuzz, the first of Diary's fresh set of songs, Uni, featuring Jane Burns, is an excellent harbinger of the additional delectable dreampop and shoegaze sounds we'll be expecting from the band in the near future.
