Slow Roar: Honey

Comprised of Rebecca Rosoff and Sonny Lanegan, Slow Roar is an L.A.-based, American-Italian indie rock duo who have recently released their self-titled debut EP. The band's first release emerges beautifully dark and gritty, while absolutely memorable and accessible, carrying a lot of the clarity and directness that indie rock used to convey in the mid-nineties and 2000s.

"It's hard finding other musicians who can handle the entire supply chain of music production - from writing, performing, arranging, and mixing. In Sonny, I'd met my match in range of ability," says Rosoff about her partnership with Lanegan, while he adds, "I've always worked fast and dirty. I'd send Rebecca a :30 guitar hook and within 45 minutes she'd have a full vocal arrangement for it. The EP came to life through that rapid, honest back and forth over the course of a few months."

Lanegan's rich experience as a live performer with over a thousand live shows behind him with bands such as White Pulp and The Dead Good elevates Slow Roar's game in terms of energy and confidence. Rosoff also of Dig Exotic and the NYC-based Fresh Hearts brings more freshness to the mix, matching the music's guitar rock edginess in perfect harmony.
