Gazey post rockers, Driftless, return with their expansive new single, Renew, the first taste from their upcoming album Perfect Blue, which will be released on December 2nd, 2022.
Produced by super producer Will Yip, the song is a wonderful combination of shoegaze melancholy and post rock expansion, yielding a fairly sharp and immersive result.
Renew presents the Minneapolis-based band at a very high point of their inspiration, vocally eloquent and instrumentally forceful and well constructed. The nine-minute song comes with a beautiful, surrealistic video of similar atmospheric features, created by Dennis Sengthong.
