Phantom Handshakes: The Flowery Man

Keeping with their tradition of balmy, warm releases, NYC-based dreampop duo, Phantom Handshakes release The Flowery Man, their newest summer song which shows their jangly and melodic sound in a three-minute blast of brightness.

Phantom Handshakes expand: "The song's lyrics are inspired by a New Yorker article about a woman who suddenly starts having hallucinations. She is a visionary, she sees things that don't exist and lives in a world of her own. The Flowery Man is her imaginary boyfriend with whom she spends the summer days chilling at the beach."

The Flowery Man is precisely what anyone would expect from Phantom Handshakes, and it illustrates the consistency in Matt Sklar (ex-Exiles, Parrot Dream, The Planes) and Federica Tassano's (Sooner, Mônetre) musicianship.
