As their moniker suggests, Transatlantic Alliance is an intercontinental endeavor by two musicians from London and Los Angeles. They offer arduously emotive instrumental post rock compositions which abound in atmosphere and appealing melodies, and they are signed to Post. Recordings through which they released their new self-titled album.
Album closer Bouvet Island is an excellent nine-minute piece of superbly executed emotiveness, based on solid instrumentation with interwoven guitar melodies playing the lead, pads, as well as foley sounds, all neatly packed into a dashing, yet, dense compositional structure.
