Asheville dreampop band, Day & Dream, return with new material, this time presenting an upbeat turn, giving their dreamlike, soft sound a bit of a more rosy tone, and their jangle pop properties full-scale.
Rabbit Hole is a new piece which the band wrote during their time in quarantine. "Our tour dates were cancelled and although we live streamed often, we were sad and overwhelmed with everything," they comment. "Looking back this happy guitar riff and whimsical melody offered some comfort. While stuck in our house, we spent alone time in our rooms investigating and researching various interests obsessively. It's amazing how much time flies when you get lost going down a rabbit hole."
The song comes with a well made clip of corresponding fun and quirkiness. It's the first single off the band's sophomore album, The Art of Remembering, arriving on October 1st, 2021 via the Philippines-based label, Lilystars Records.
