A pure demonstration of both the somberness which can be found in their sound, and the extreme heaviness which has been attached to their name, The Holy Ones is the latest single and video from Australia's Our Last Enemy. The band have a full length in the works, and the first couple of examples off it suggest that it can be one of their strongest albums thus far.
The Holy Ones is an expertly put together dark industrial rocker with different styles of dynamics, and the kind of track which most likely would have been huge in the 2000s, as presently its force is adequate for keeping the genre still relevant and alive.
The single comes attached to a video shot and edited in isolation by the band; a comment on people's behavior in isolation and their relationship with their screens and their online activities in search of remote stimulation.
