After the hard-earned success of their latest albums and EPs, Street Sects return to the subject matter of their early material, and unveil the third part of their Gentrification series. Following last June's, Goodbye Recidivist Road, the duo share its B-side, Boxcars, a bit ahead of the release of Gentrification III: Death and Displacement, which comes out August 2nd, 2019 via The Flenser.
Boxcars, like the most of Street Sects' material, sounds mightily harsh, melding elements of dark industrial, noise and power electronics into a fully fleshed out and distinctive blend, all violent and intriguing.
"The Gentrification series is not an indictment or an apology, it is an empathetic gritting of the teeth, clenching of the fist, and pulling of the trigger," Leo Ashline and Shaun Ringsmuth say of the series.
