UV Rays: Overrated

The very much productive, Brooklyn-based indie rockers, UV Rays, are at it again, coming on with the announcement of another new EP in quick succession, and the unveiling of its lead single. The Right Stuff will follow Try and Begin from last March, and it's introduced by the flawlessly constructed, and quite appealing, Overrated.

The new song finds the band trying an even more accessible and memorable take on their songwriting, while maintaining the spunk and sweet distortion of their earlier releases, founded on elements from emo punk and power pop. "We’re genuinely not as selectively welcoming as the song portrays, but like, close enough," says UV Rays' drummer and vocalist, Erica Warner.

The Right Stuff, the band's second EP in only a few months is due out August 9th, 2019. It was engineered by Ava Luna's Carlos Hernandez and Julian Fader at Gravesend Studios.
