After the release of an incredible full length earlier in the year, LA darkwave duo, Boy Harsher, come back in quick succession with two EPs composed of remixes from Careful, due out June 28th, 2019.
EP one will include remixes of the song, Come Closer, while EP two will reconstruct Tears. There will also be a digital version of those combined, titled Careful Remixes, etc, which will feature additional remixes of the track LA.
An expansive, nearly seven-minute version of Come Closer, remodeled in the hands of German DJ and producer, Marcel Dettman, has just been unveiled.
"Growing up on EBM, synth pop and wave music, I’ve seen a lot of bands come and go throughout years," Dettman states. "Hearing Boy Harsher’s music, I felt an immediacy in their songs that I had not often experienced with other bands. I seldom see musical originality and artistic authenticity. To me, the lyrics of “Come Closer” can be read as a poetic reflection of the night club experience and those intimate encounters on the dance floor, a culture I grew up within. It was my pleasure to make this song fit to be played “in the dark.” After all, that’s where I’m at home most of the time."
The duo's awaited fall tour schedule has also been announced. Dates listed below.
