Moon Loves Honey: Oceanbird

Hailing from Aarhus, Denmark, Moon Loves Honey is a rising dreampop act with a clear artistic vision conceived to match their music's colorful haziness in a seamless way. The band's newest piece, the very much wistfully joyful, Oceanbird, comes with an outstanding animated video courtesy of French animator, Camille Alméras, and it's the band's third in a series of clips created by collaborating with directors from around the world.

Although in its majority it is presented in a cold color palette, in toto the video is a celebration of balmy and summery nostalgic moods, and appropriately turns warmer near its conclusion.

"In a period when I was very blue, I found comfort in going to the coast of Aarhus, looking at and swimming in the water, because I felt that the ocean was the only place where I could disappear temporarily," says songwriter, Jeppe Dengsø.

Musically Oceanbird flourishes in bringing together soft vocals with distorted guitars in an overall rich and fulfilling result which feels like the strongest moment in Moon Loves Honey's consistent development thus far.
