A couple of years after their impressive debut EP, Apartments, New York's Dog Trainer return, this time as a duo, with a fresh single and its equally wistful b-side, introducing their first full length, Puppyhood, scheduled for release on March 1st, 2019.
Composed of Nick Greenberg (vocals/production) and Lucas del Calvo (production), Dog Trainer offer a sweetly and warmly melancholic dreampop sound based on the duo's elegant delivery and clever songwriting, emerging skillfully executed through its brilliant lo-fi characteristics.
First track, The Kids, is a memorable and rather emotive slow burner which subtly evokes the cultivation of the soft rock sound of the seventies, while the also very warmhearted and emotionally charged down to earth ballad, The End, finely represents the exquisite DIY artistry of which the duo is capable.
