22-year old musician, Nicholas Greenberg, started Dog Trainer as a solo project only six months ago, however, the time was enough for it to develop as a trio and ready a splendid debut release. Dog Trainer now consists of Greenberg, his long-time friend and collaborator, Lucas del Calvo and Charlie Culbert.
All songs on Dog Trainer's EP, Apartments, were written by Greenberg and later arranged, recorded, and mixed by Greenberg and del Calvo. What they came up with is a six-song release that sounds and feels like their home, New York, as its gritty lo-fi guitars and vintage analog synths glare with bitter-sweetness and nostalgia and underline the band's DIY indie aesthetic, combined with the love for the old-fashioned and the modern past.
The enchanting retro visuals of the music video that accompanies Graffiti, the single we're thrilled to be premiering today, are a perfect fit for Dog Trainer's vintage and elegant aesthetics and their beautiful homage to the eighties' New York City.
Apartments comes out March 31st and it's available to pre-order on iTunes.
