Coming from Melbourne, Australia, Househats' sound comes out like a seamless blend of garage rock and post punk. Stop is only the band's second single, a striking two and half-minute piece, immaculately produced by Dan Caswell (Horace Bones, DIET.) and Michael Badger (King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, IV League) - the same people that did the band's impressive debut, All Together.
Drummer Joshua De Laurentiis describes the motivation behind the new single: "Life can often just get away from you, and Stop is about really dialling back the hectic speed in this age of post-millennial malaise and trying to get yourself back on track."
Short, sweet, focused and fully realized, Stop bursts out manifesting the Australian trio's indie-punk strength, and their abilities to make the most of their exquisite influences.
