British Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist, Alexander Hawthorne whom we've met earlier as Slows Down is about to release his latest self-titled EP on cassette, simply titled EP 3, on January 15th.
The EP was recorded in the comfort of Alexander's isolated studio in Berlin and like expected it is a genre-bender built on simplicity yet with the impact of all the different styles Slows Downs has adopted, from chamber pop music to surf, to psychedelia and beyond. Alexander plays almost all the instruments on EP 3, which apart from the usual guitars, drums and synths they include organ, dulcimer, tanpura, glockenspiel and more.
