Legendery Can drummer, Jaki Liebezeit, has passed away from sudden pneumonia at the age of 78.
Liebezeit was a founding member of Can and had been a part of all of the band's albums, but he had also started other groups with main focus on drumming. He had also collaborated with huge artists such as Brian Eno, Michael Rother from Neu!, Depeche Mode, Eurythmics, Robert Coyne and more.
In a statement Can wrote: "It is with great sadness we have to announce that Jaki passed away this morning from sudden pneumonia. He fell asleep peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. We will miss him hugely."
