Heaven In Her Arms: The Moon That Falls Only Here

Japanese post hardcore greats, Heaven In Her Arms, announce their fourth album, The End of Purification, with the monumental lead single The Moon That Falls Only Here. Spanning nearly six minutes, the track transforms grief and persistent memory into an epic piece of unrelenting tension, fragile elegance and brute force.

Images of falling light, sand, wounds and frozen landscapes gather around the recurring question, “Are you still there?” Three intertwining guitars carry that uncertainty through sharply contrasting terrain. A compelling chorus opens the music toward something almost transcendent before the middle section descends into sheer heaviness.

The band describes: “Our response to classic melancholic masterpieces. Contrasting a lush, strikingly beautiful chorus, the middle section plunges into what might be the heaviest, most crushing moment on the record.”

Hardcore urgency remains fundamental, since this is a band which took their name from a song on Converge’s Jane Doe. On this particular number, it expands into cinematic scale, allowing sorrow to become atmosphere and architecture.

Across their career, Heaven In Her Arms have become a defining force within Japan’s underground heavy music landscape, sharing stages with envy, MONO and BORIS while supporting artists including Deafheaven, Russian Circles and CELESTE in Japan. Due November 13th, 2026 through Banshies, The End of Purification represents the far-reaching statement toward which they have been building since day one.
