FIXXER: Razor Sharp

Oakland hardcore punk band FIXXER introduce their forthcoming debut EP, Feeding on Me, with the startling force of Razor Sharp. Fast, concise and relentlessly physical, the track moves between hopeless screamed verses and a riff-heavy chorus without sacrificing a fraction of its aggression.

The song addresses the confusion and emotional imbalance of watching someone close begin to break down. As that person grows colder and increasingly controlling, concern becomes entangled with fear, frustration and helplessness. FIXXER translate the tensions in the song's theme into constant motion, allowing melody to intensify the desperation.

Drawing from hardcore, post hardcore and noise rock, the Bay Area group balance introspective writing with moments built for immediate impact. Razor Sharp repeatedly inspires genuine exclamation, the kind of track whose sudden turns and sheer conviction produce involuntary gasps. As a first glimpse of Feeding on Me, it is an impressively fierce statement.
