THE GREAT OX IN THE BELLY OF A SNAKE introduce their new incarnation with Lavish Torment, the first single from the forthcoming album Euphoric Dread. Blackened noise passes through thrash and sludge, forming a hostile landscape of thick chords, punishing volume and electronics sharp enough to pierce the surrounding mass.
At its center lies the pain of addiction and the exhausting search for relief. Riffs arrive with oppressive physical weight while soaring electronic textures blur conventional song structure, turning the track into an emotional passage through compulsion, suffering and temporary release.
The project began as the two-piece VULTUREPEAK before the arrival of a third member expanded both its sound and sense of identity. The name changed alongside that evolution, making Lavish Torment the first public expression of a world rebuilt around greater scale, density and violence.
Euphoric Dread, the first full release under the name THE GREAT OX IN THE BELLY OF A SNAKE, arrives October 2nd, 2026.
