The Capsules return with Full Moon Factory, a darkly radiant dreampop track released through Graveface Records, backed by Summon Stars. Originally formed in Kansas and now based in Dallas, the trio of Julie Shields, Jason Shields and Kevin Trevino build the song from warm, pulsating textures, spacious melodies and vocals that drift in long, hypnotic phrases.
Floor and rack toms provide much of its rhythmic momentum, carrying the arrangement forward without disturbing its dreamlike spell.
Lyrically, electricity becomes a metaphor for the invisible current passing between people, blurring the boundaries between individual and shared experience.
The accompanying video, hand-drawn and animated by Miranda Parkin and co-directed with the band, casts the members inside an eerie, playfully gothic adventure, and, according to The Capsules, presents the entirely accurate origin story of the group.
A new album from the band is expected in early 2027.
