Claus Larsen completely reconstructs the bass-driven original, strengthening its industrial foundations while drawing the band’s synthpop instincts closer to the surface.
Beneath its rhythmic momentum lies the unusually intimate subject of keeping vigil beside a fading parent and confronting the inevitable generational shift that arrives in middle age. The track captures the conflicting sorrow, exhaustion and even relief that can accompany that experience.
