Zimmer teams up with Berlin-based duo Local Suicide for The Night, an insomnia-themed debut collaboration shaped between Paris and Berlin. The track pairs darkwave textures with indie dance, accompanied by a video shot against Berlin’s muted backdrop.
It opens on a looping synth line that echoes restless deliberations, gradually layering into a more tense, propulsive arrangement. While it unfolds, the track settles into the dancefloor, using EBM rhythms and a strong darkwave current to steer everything in a darker direction.
As the song's title suggests, there’s a nocturnal tone running throughout, carrying a sense of wistfulness alongside its steady pulse. The Night appears on Zimmer’s upcoming EP, due June 26th, 2026 on Es Mi Momento.
