Swedish heavy rock act Moloken share A Night Vision Revealed (Asterion Pt. I), the first single from their upcoming self-titled album, due September 25th, 2026 via Discouraged Records. The track introduces the band’s first use of clean vocals and serves as a measured entry point into the record, setting its tone with a balance of weight and openness.
Over the past fifteen years, Moloken have drawn from death, doom, and black metal alongside seventies progressive rock and hardcore. In their new offering, that foundation broadens into a more post rock–leaning approach, maintaining their intensity while allowing space for relatively more mellow and more reflective passages.
A Night Vision Revealed reimagines the story of the Minotaur as a solitary figure caught in a repetitive existence, holding onto the hope of an end. Beneath the myth, it reflects a sense of stagnation and fatigue, and a quiet desire for release or change.
