The Devil Is Real return on May 22nd, 2025 with Boleskine House Blues, the third single from the unique project of King Dude and Justin Pittney. Once again, the band seamlessly merges horror, occult themes, and garage-fueled rock and roll, delivering a track that finds them in top form while exploring dark and intriguing subject matter.
The song draws inspiration from two historical attempts to invoke the Holy Guardian Angel: the Enochian magic system developed by Edward Kelley and John Dee in the 16th century, and Aleister Crowley’s infamous Abramelin Operation at the seemingly cursed Boleskine House in 1899.
King Dude’s signature darkness and brooding atmosphere are reimagined through a faster, hook-driven goth punk lens, with nods to classic dark punk and post punk foundations alongside the raw edge of deathrock and flashes of modern heavy rock.
