Dina Summer: Fuel

Dina Summer’s new single Fuel hits with immediate force, rooted in nineties electro and EBM, but delivered with a kind of present‑tense urgency that can't be overlooked. Fuel is a dark track, insistent, and constantly in motion. The near–spoken word vocal cuts straight through the mix, cool and commanding, as if steering the whole thing by sheer force of intention. Around the vocals, the production snaps into place with precision.

Blending a rare disco‑punk attitude with electroclash bite, the Berlin trio create Fuel as a tightly wound EBM piece, shadowy, driven, and always one breath from burning out.

The visual, directed by Juta Jakobsone, mirrors the music tension, and is a work of art. There’s a strange, magnetic pull to the whole piece, a kind of offbeat sensuality that comes from Dina’s restrained delivery and the track’s relentless forward push. It’s a combination that never loosens its grip, carrying the listener from the first beat to the last. It really doesn’t get better than this.
