Glisten Trick: DEATH CULT RAINBOWS

British act Glisten Trick emerge with DEATH CULT RAINBOWS, a track steeped in psychedelia, yet, delivered in an unexpectedly accessible way. It’s intense and vividly colorful, brimming with lush, hypnotic textures that feel both beautiful and unsettling. The song's atmosphere carries a séance-like quality, drawing from rich and evocative sources of inspiration.

The band unveils: "Death Cult Rainbows was the first song completed in our own studio. It’s loosely inspired by Suicide, with that kind of glitchy synth part, and lyrically it touches on the destructive nature of certain relationships—the juxtaposition between what people say and what they do, and the cult-like devotion with which we swallow it and call it love."

The song's central theme is the desire to rip out an overbearing affection that feels consuming to the point of ruin, expressing the internal battle between charm and brutality. Emotionally, it's like removing a piece of oneself in order to start over.
