Endearments release Marianne, the third and final single ahead of their forthcoming debut album, An Always Open Door, out March 6th, 2026 via Trash Casual.
The bright pop single is an emotional dreampop-minded rock roller contending with ambiguous lyrics and long-distance longing. The instantly memorable track is pushed by both radiant guitar riffs and lush synths. The band's pop sensibilities are on full display, arguably in their most apparent form, while the delectable sweetness that characterizes their songwriting remains constant.
The single arrives alongside a music video directed by Paul Desilva, featuring the band performing within a striking collage of mirrors.
About the track and video, frontman Kevin Marksson says: "'Marianne' is about the uncertain and vulnerable moments at the beginning of a new relationship. It's a song about longing for someone who is far away, physically and emotionally, and what it takes to break down those barriers. We wanted the music video to emphasize that metaphor, with the band playing in a liminal place, bright and surreal, before the mirrors that are reflecting us literally shatter.”
